This page is here to explain the different types of filters used in Koi ponds, how they work, and the methods in which they are setup.

There are two ways to feed water into your filter, by Gravity-fed or Pump-fed.

The two most common types of filters used in Koi ponds are Mechanical_filtration and Biological_filtration. In some cases, Chemical_filtration such as Activated-charcol is also used.
